Franklin Long Roofing Ltd commenced manufacturing roofing products in 1967. In those
early years of manufacture the majority of raw materials were sourced from imported
product. Once NZ Steel began producing steel at the Glenbrook site in 1968 Franklin
Long Roofing Ltd went onto direct supply from NZ Steel. In 1982 NZ Steel began producing
prepainted Colorsteel coil & the company procured its first prepainted product
then.
In the early years of producing roofing products the company had a staff of 4. Today we employ 10 staff involved in the administration & manufacture of roofing
products.In addition to this we em
ploy some
30 individuals as contract installers.
From our head office and workshop in Pukekohe, we regularly service an area including Auckland, Franklin & the North Waikato. Through our client base we have supplied roofing
& cladding product to all regions of New Zealand including the South Island.
We supply only and or install roofing & wall cladding products to every type
& design of building from residential dwellings through to commercial warehouses
& alike. We have supplied product to large aircraft hangers, large warehouses,
architectural designed dwellings etc.
Franklin Long Roofing have undertaken on numerous occasions large development projects such as Housing
New Zealand & alike. We specialise in the forming & curving of Corrugated
roofing either for radius curved buildings or traditional bullnosed verandahs. We
frequently export roofing products on a regular basis typically into the Pacific
Islands.
We also manufacture all facets of roofing & cladding from profiled roofing to custom
made flashings & gutters & various rainwater goods. We supply a full range
of accessories from Translucent sheeting, roofing underlays, insulation, roof ventilators,
skylights etc.
